As North Hills seems to be growing vertically with the completion of multiple new residential apartment towers and office buildings, it is also adding a great array of new dining options for residents. One of the most requested additions in North Hills has been a great place to grab pizza. There may not be a California pizza restaurant, but for some that may not be such a bad thing.
Previously there was a pizza restaurant in the main district of North Hills across from Starbucks. Today there are a few different options for Pizza in North Hills. As one of Raleigh’s hottest neighborhoods and developments, it is no wonder there are so many great pizza places in North Hills.
Here are just a few of the pizza restaurants in North Hills Raleigh, NC.
Vivace in North Hills
Vivace is an upscale rustic restaurant located in the Lassiter District of North Hills in Raleigh, NC. They offer a wide variety of contemporary Italian dishes including, you guessed it, pizza! The pizza at Vivace in North Hills is wood fired and is definitely not your typical New York style or deep dish. They offer unique flavors as well as classics like margarita pizza.
If you are on the hunt for some greasy pizza by the slice, Vivace is not the ticket. This more upscale environment is better suited for a date night.
Cucciolo Terrazza in North Hills
Another great upscale Italian restaurant in North Hills that offers pizza is Cucciolo Terrazza. Located on the ground floor of the Eastern high rise apartment building in North Hills, Cucciolo Terraza is one of the newest additions to North Hills. Much like Vivace, this is not the place to go if you are looking for a quick slice and a soda. Cucciolo Terraza offers a great atmosphere and is a great place for a date night.
The pizza at Cucciolo Terraza is unique and we do not recommend a plain cheese or pepperoni pizza. There are some interesting and delicious pizza flavors at Cucciolo Terraza! Don’t be afraid to give them a try.
Pieology Pizza in North Hills
If you are looking for a pizza restaurant in North Hills that is not as formal or time consuming as either Vivace or Cucciolo Terrazza, Pieology in North Hills is a great place to grab a pizza for lunch or dinner. Pieology is similar to Mod Pizza in the way that you get to custom design your very own pizza. You choose the dough and toppings and one of the employees will whip up your desired pizza.
I like to describe Pieology as the Subway of pizza places to those who have never tried it. Again if you are looking for a quick pizza that is not a formal sit down dining experience, Pieology is your best bet.
As North Hills continues to grow over the next few years I have a sneaky suspicion that another pizza restaurant will pop up at some point. Maybe we will get a California Pizza restaurant to open up shop in North Hills. We look forward to giving it a try when it does.
